Tel Aviv - BBR Saatchi & Saatchi Tel Aviv and its digital arm Saatchi Interactive are proud to announce the launch of a breakthrough digital initiative on FarmVille - the first ever introduction of a commercially inspired crop to the hit real-time farm simulation game.The initiative will see Zynga, creators of FarmVille, introduce a new crop – peanuts - as part of BBR Saatchi & Saatchi's roll-out campaign for Elite Taami Nutz, a new peanut-filled variant of one of Israel's favourite chocolate snacks.The 'peanuts' will be available on FarmVille from the 14th April 2010.FarmVille is a real-time farm simulation game that allows members of Facebook to manage a virtual farm by planting, growing and harvesting virtual crops and raising livestock. It is the most popular gaming application on Facebook with over 82 million users.
The idea was conceived and implemented by Saatchi Interactive. It marks the first collaboration of its kind between Zynga and a major commercial enterprise - in this case Strauss, owners of the Elite brand.In addition to the new crop, the campaign will include a "Farm Design" competition where the public will be encouraged to design their own creative farm, using the new peanut crop, among others.
